This bright yellow Dutch Colonial offers a completely unique vacation experience. It is located only an hour and a half north of San Francisco in the village of Monte Rio in west Sonoma County. The house is set on a bend in the Russian River over looking the beach and an old iron bridge. Nearby are the vineyards of Sonoma and Napa Valley, Northwood Golf Course, Armstrong Woods, the coastal villages of Jenner and Bodega Bay. Also nearby are the shops of Healdsberg, Guerniville, Occidental and don't miss the antique shops of Duncans Mills.
This river-front home sleeps 16+ in five bedrooms and features two and a half baths with three sunny decks, a gas fireplace in the living room and an upgraded eat-in kitchen with a stainless steel Viking refrigerator, Bosch dishwasher, JennAir gas range, plus a microwave, coffee maker, coffee grinder, toaster, press pot, tea kettle, pots, pans and unique dining ware. The dining table seats 16 and faces west, toward sunsets over the river and redwoods.
The house has river access for swimming, boating and fishing for steelhead trout, though please note there is no dock and no life guard is on duty.
The home features a barbeque, outdoor seating, a TV, DVD/VCR, CD player, guitars, a piano and wireless internet access. All bed linens and towels are provided, guests must provide their own food and personal items.
